Good morning.
*Please forgive the grammatical errors.
I will begin this blog in honor of Pope Francis with the daily prayer. It is uncommon of me to do this, and though I am a protestant, Pope Francis seemed good and decent keeping true with both his faith and humanity unlike Popes before him.
Our Father who art in Heaven
Hallowed be Thy name
Thy Kingdom come
Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us
And lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever
--Amen
People are already surmising the short list of replacements before the current Pope is even buried which is kind of disrespectful in my opinion.
For centuries Catholics and protestants have spilled blood over each other's faiths and Pope Francis was the first Pope of my recollection who had a 'live and let live' tolerance unlike many if not all Popes before him.
Another cafeteria Catholic in the White House, Trump-o's little pigeon claiming to suddenly now be Catholic is ridiculous. You don't just say "I'm Catholic now" and like magic - abracadabra - you are. Add to that this administration is the last administration to date to follow the teachings of Christ. So no, pigeon, you are not Catholic. You might say, "I'm studying the catechism to become a catholic" which is also most likely not true I'm rather certain. My only fear for Catholics who actually do follow the teachings of Christ, and the Ten Commandments is that the next Pope is just as corrupt as this administration. Pope Francis was the best of all the Popes. He seemed kind, and humble, tolerant, and wise. That's what Christ teaches. Not whatever bedazzle barbie's chubby little friend Karoline Leavitt virtue signals for the press corp.
God rest, Pope Francis. You will be missed.
Moving on.
This blog originally started with:
China. Tariff. China. Tariff. Karoline Leavitt wearing Chinese made dresses and getting meme'd on social media is the - China, Tariff. Cha cha chaaa! - we all needed. You would think that some anti-China White House press secretary would be a wee-bit more careful where she shops, but no, hypocrisy is one of the rules for this administration God bless China's sense of humor.
Is anyone crying over Pete Hegseth potentially losing his job? No, I didn't think so. That dingbat. In my old blog I always posed the question, "How can I work with my friends and still get paid a decent wage?" President of the United States is never an option for anyone. You don't hire your pals and people who aren't mean to you when you are president. Might we please, please bring back education as being a priority for this country.
AND ANOTHER THING
Dear young people, I cannot stress enough, if you want to know what a book said, read the book. I beg you. Read the book. All these online rewrites of books to make them more "understandable" to young people is nuts and kind of insulting. For example, the King James version of the Bible does not need to be modernized in modern used language. That's the whole point of reading, is feeling what was written at the time it was written.
And look, I understand it, I do, before computers we read books. Who reads books anymore? We also learned hands on skills like typing, economics, wood shop, etc. Electronics is moving us into the future and so forth, I get it, but until robots do everything for us, we humans still need to do things for ourselves like have our own feelings towards (let's say) history.
Sigh.
Someone reportedly ID purse snatched the dog killer Noem. As if anyone is surprised. As if! These are people who virtue signal on social media with posts like "Christ said (this)" and "Martin Luther King Jr said (that)" on Christ's and King's respected days of acknowledgement meanwhile blatantly doing the complete opposite of both teachings. Like I said, hypocrisy is one of the rules for this administration. Things could get very bad for this dog killer Noem methinks. If I got my ID stolen good luck buddy! I got nothing to steal. I do however have some large medical bills if you feel so compelled to have that responsibility paying those bills. Dog killer Noem on the other hand, might want to reconsider her future political career. Forget about it. Her ID info is on the dark web by now if such a theft even occurred you know like Trump-o's "assassination attempt". It's also a possibility she's claiming her purse was stolen because she thinks something even more horrible than her shooting a dog in the face could be revealed. Nothing would surprise me about her to be honest.
Happy Earth Day all.
Aprill 22 is earth day. In honor of earth day, the one metro, the only existing metro in my neighborhood is not running for two days. Huh. Interesting choice for public transport on earth day. I mean, if you really want to encourage people to take public transport and not drive most metro agencies offer free transport for earth day, but okay. Whatevs. You do you. Pick your battles know what I'm sayin'.
Still waiting for my first cancer screening test results going on 4 weeks later. I called the facility yesterday and they said they didn't know why the results were taking so long. The lady I spoke to said she would put a rush on it to get the results by the end of the day. I'll call them back today and see if that rush-order did anything.
Since being back in the city, every day I wake up and think how lucky I am. It's a wonderful feeling I haven't had in a long time. I wonder what it means.
However you spend earth day, I hope it's a peaceful one. Maybe today is the day that will change your life with blessings beyond anything you ever imagined. The power of faith, my friends. God bless.
To the young social media priests calling that fat orange inflatable tube donkey a "Messiah" I remind you:
Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
